Re: external program to edit image
I know that I can edit files with Photoshop (.png, tif, etc) and Illustrator(.eps) but I don' know how those are assigned either. They just magically appear in that shortcut menu. If you are using source control, you have to manually check them out and then in before an edited file can be saved.

Any particular reason you aren't using Capture?

TNX. Obviously the assignment is somehow done automatically by MCFlaer . I noticed this with our application "TAA" which we never tried to assign to MCFlare. I m not using source control

No particular reason. We are using it. But as we can use MSpaint we want to calrify when such a program is added to this popup dialog. We also see our application "TAA" in the popup which is no image processing program.

Those menus are derived from the file extension associations in the operating system registry. Try using "Open with" on the file you want to edit in Windows Explorer, select the program you want to open it with, then restart Flare.uwem wrote:No particular reason. We are using it. Its the same if you want to use Notepad++ to edit topic source code instead of the built in editor, you have to open a .htm file with Notepad++ via "Open With" to get it added to the context menu in Flare.
