Hi all,
When starting up Flare today, I got a notification that build 6738 is now available for download.
About a week ago, build 6717 was released.
What gives? What's the difference? What happened that a new release was rushed out to us on the heels of the previous one? I ask because I don't always have time to install the new version immediately.
Thank you,
David

Re: New Flare releases about a week apart
Those release are maintenance releases with bug fixes. If your current version works fine for you then I see no need to update. That said, this is commonplace these days. Every checked how often mobile apps or Chrome get updated? If they do not see an update within two weeks they are considered abandonware. One doesn't have to like it, but this is where the modern software delivery models go. Would be nice if Flare had a background process that runs the update and picks it up on next start.

You can find the release notes in the madcap knowledge base. Here for 2018: http://kb.madcapsoftware.com/Content/Fl ... _Notes.htm

Would also be nice if you had the option to NOT show that irritating "There's a new update available" box every time you open Flare! Guess that's another feature request...
Started as a newbie with Flare 6.1, now using Flare 2023.
