Bookmark feature greyed out in topic with a large table

I successfully imported a worksheet from Excel. I've now re-styled it, and associated the table with the proper stylesheet in Flare.
I would like to add bookmarks to certain cells (headings) in my table, but the Bookmark option is greyed out for the whole topic - even for the H1 and P elements that are outside of the table.
Has anyone seen anything like this? When i go to another topic, the bookmark option is enabled again.
