Unable to Rename folder

Post by PatOC »

Hi,

I am having a problem with renaming folders. On the Content Explorer I right click the top folder and create a new folder. However, when I try and rename the new folder a window appears named Link Update and saying that its 'Computing dependency set....'

I seem to be able to do everything else such as add content to topics, delete and add topics, etc. So far I have tried deleting the Analyzer and Output folders and also 'my name' folder in Doc_Suite\Project\Users

Is there anything else I can try?
thanks!

Strange behaviour
Work-around:
1 You can Open Folder in Windows
2 and add there a new folder
3 it is automatically added in the Content folder
Madcap.open.folder.png

TIP :madcap:
I use the Open Folder in Windows option many time to create snippets (copy and renaming)
- Editing them with Notepad++ (keep in mind the XML syntax, otherwise you can not edit it in madcap) + save it
- this works more faster than in Madcap (I have a folder with more than 1000 snippets) :)
