Hello,
We have a large master project with lots of topics. We are looking to create other projects based on these master project topics. A lot of our photos in our master project are outdated. If we go in and update the photos, is it possible to have a trickle down effect to update all the photos in the sub projects? I'd hate to have to go and change the photo for the same topic 6 times throughout the different projects.
Thank you
A parent project with children projects?
Re: A parent project with children projects?
Off the top of my head, you could make the specific folder (e.g. Photos) shared between the projects. That is, all the projects us the same Photos folder.
Or make the child projects import the photos from the parent. That is, the photos in the child projects are linked to the photos in the parent project, using Flare link functionality. So after updating any photos in the parent Photos folder, do reimports in the child projects to cascade those updates from the parent to the children.

The newest noob in town.
Re: A parent project with children projects?
Thank you for the quick response! I'll do some research on the link functionality within Flare.

If you're looking for a good starting place, search in these forums for "GPL" or "Global Project Linking" and you should find lots of interesting stuff.
Started as a newbie with Flare 6.1, now using Flare 2023.
