Find topics set to non-searchable

Post by mgdawn672017 »

We have field definition topics in our online help project in Flare. In the Properties for field definitions, the searchable property should be deselected.

All field definition topics in the project have a common format for the topic name: d_ then the topic name.

Can I create a report to search to find whether or not all d_ topics have the search property deselected?

Thanks,
MDawn

I don't know about a report, but you can do the following:
1. Open the File List view (View > File List).
2. Sort the name column and then find the topics that start with d_ (or use the Filter at the top of the tab to filter the list down).
3. Look at the Searchable column to see if it is True or False. (You can hide and show columns as needed by right-clicking the header row.)

You can also select all the topics that start with d_ in this list, then right-click and choose Properties. In the Topic Properties section, look at the box for "Include topic when full-text search database is generated". If it's clear, then all of the selected topics have disabled that property. If it's filled in, then one or more of the selected topics have it enabled. You can clear it while you're there to disable it for all of the selected topics.
