I am a fairly new user and cannot find an answer through other resources.
For images, snippets, and topics, I can view where each is linked from and to. I want to do the same for variables but cannot figure out how. If the same feature is not available but there's a way to achieve the same outcome, please share.
Thank you!
Elise

Re: View Variable Links
Hi Elise and welcome to the forums!
You can see where a variables SET is linked to in exactly the same way, but not individual variables. All is not lost though. For individual variables FIND is your friend.
So if you want to find where a variable called object from a variable set called Local_Data is used:
1. in your Find and Replace in Files pane in the Find box type <MadCap:variable name="Local_Data.object" />
2. In the Find In list select whole project, and in the File Types list select Topics, or if you use snippets in your project do it again with Snippets selected, or select All Files.
3. Select the Find in Source Code check box.
4. In the Search Type list select Regular Text, then click Find All.
That will find all occurrences in your project. I'm not sure if you can print or save the resulting list (I've never tried) but that should get you started.
