Looking for ideas: user experience for field-level help

Hi,

I'm looking for 'slick' examples of how to gracefully integrate field-level help into a web application. We have ideas (such as a delayed pop-up that appears when the user's cursor lingers in a field, or a button that changes the cursor's 'mode), but I know we aren't the first people to solve this problem.

Can you please share some examples of field-level help that you're proud of or admire?
