End-user registration and page update notification

Post by JRtechw »

Hi Flare users,

We've had an enquiry from our API dev team as to whether it's possible for readers of a Flare-output knowledge base (HTML5) to 'register' in some way to a page and automatically get notified of updates to that page. Similar to the concept of ZenDesk registration I guess.

I'm aware of no such out-of-the-box solution for Flare, although I never used the Pulse extension and am not sure if that is still available. Has anyone managed to implement a custom solution for update notification, or is aware of a plugin that might address this? We already have an article feedback box; in theory, we could add a Notify on change field, store email addresses in MySQL, and set up a mail server, but we're entering non-trivial solution territory.

Thanks for any ideas.
