Track Changes Appearing in Web Output

When I publish the target, the tracked changes *and* the original are both appearing.

For example

iI need this sentence to endstop
wWe are going to the storepark

I looked through the forums and found a comment on this thread.

@sds, what you're seeing is the normal effect of tracking changes. Tracked changes are preliminary - they must be accepted before they will actually be implemented. So if you do not accept the changes, none of them (including deleted paragraphs, etc) will appear in the output.

This would actually be great if were happening. Instead, I'm seeing both the original and the changes at the same time.

Any ideas about how I can have pages publish without seeing the Tracked Changes publish with them until I accept them?

Assuming you're generating a PDF or Word output, take a look at this page in the Flare help: https://help.madcapsoftware.com/flare20 ... %20changes

"How to Preserve Tracked Changes
Open the target being used for Word or PDF output.
Select the Advanced tab.
In the Output Options section, click the check box next to Preserve tracked changes.
Click "Save" to save your work."

And obviously, if you DON'T want to preserve tracked changes, make sure that check box is clear.

I am also seeing this behaviour in Flare 2021.

"Preserve tracked changes" is definitely cleared in the target. But when I build, I see both the original text, and any replacement/new text I have added.
I see the same result when I preview.

Did anyone find a resolution, or shall we assume this is a bug? I can't imagine what the point of this would be if it's intended behaviour, the sentences become a garbled mess.

I can't vouch for it because I don't have the problem, but try opening the .fltar file in a text editor (I like Notepad++) and see if there's anything squiffy going on.

Thanks for the suggestion. I couldn't see anything strange in the target, and tried with a brand-new target as well where I just set the TOC, M-page and stylesheet, and checked that the "Preserve" checkbox was cleared. Issue persists.

Will contact Flare.
