Automatic anchors and ".html" extension removal

Hello, I wonder if anyone can help on a couple of points that would make URLs and bookmarking better:
1. We'd like to automatically generate anchor tags for headers so that people can bookmark sections in long pages.
2. We'd also like to remove the ".html" from the end of the documents.
I can see that I can use a jQuery plugin like anchorify to do the anchors, but I wonder if there is a built-in way for Flare?
Not sure how to remove the extension - right now we get a 404 Not Found.
