On Windows XP SP2 with Flare 3.1.0 I get an error trying to save to PDF.
"Exception: could not load for or assembly for "....B3.XmlTextPdfKit.dll" or one of its dependencies."
QUESTION #1
Is this fixed? Is there a workaround? Is it something I've done wrong?

Re: PDF Export
Did this work before? If yes, check if the dll file is in the Flare application folder. You may also want to try a reinstall.
Besides that, you have Word with PDF support installed, correct?
Uhm, and what is question #2?

Re: PDF Export
With Flare 3.1, in order to save directly to PDF you need to either have FrameMaker or a Word 2007 installed on the same machine as Flare. If you don't have either of those, direct to PDF isn't possible.
Hopefully, this will no longer be the case in Flare 4.0.

Re: PDF Export
Madcap hasn't announced a specific release yet, but it sounds like it won't be too long. If I had to guess, I'd say late summer / early fall, but don't take that as a hard and fast estimate.
Until next time....

Re: PDF Export
Flare v4 should be released later this summer, and it should have the ability to create a PDF with out needing FrameMaker or Word 2007 with PDF plug in.
