Save to MHT?

Post by izonimflare »

I cannot seem to send a page to IE, just firefox or opera. Should I be able to? IE has the save to .mht which would be really handy for showing a customer a single page for them to review.

Do you have Mark of the Web (MOW) set on your project?

If you are producing web help and viewing locally you need to use MOW so IE will treat the file as a web file.

I've thought for a long time that Flare should have an option to export the current topic using the formatting of a selected target (e.g. current topic to Word, current topic to HTML Help, etc.) This would be a great way to proof your changes and to send just the relevant content to a SME to be reviewed.

If you think this would be a good feature, request it here:

Apparently the more people ask for something the higher priority Madcap puts on it.
Until next time....

While that would be a nice feature, in this particular case it is that IE is too dumb to display a single HTML file. As stated, other browsers don't have that problem. Bugs should be fixed in the code where they appear, not in all other applications.
