Editing screenshots (pixels & text)

Post by LindaL »

We are moving from RoboHelp to MadPak. RoboHelp contains RoboScreenCapture which enabled us to easily edit the screenshots and I'm missing this functionality in Capture.

Are the following possibilities simply not available in Capture, or am I overlooking something?

- Edit pixels (sometimes screenshots of windows get a colored "background" around the rounded part of the window on top. We want to edit the screenshot so it's white. In RoboScreenCapture this is easily done by scaling to 800% and using the pen functionality to give every single pixel the color we want)

- Replacing text (we often need to adjust screenshots to overwrite information. In RoboScreenCapture, when adding a textfield, you can easily set the background to transparent. In Capture, you have the option for transparent as well, but that is concerning the text as well).

I hope someone can answer this. Thanks!

You're not overlooking anything. Capture is not an image editor. It has some definite strengths (callouts, arrows, highlights, etc) and numerous weaknesses.
