Mimic Bubble Shape with Line, Anchor and Text Box combo?

Postby peaveygtr on Fri Dec 09, 2016 3:41 pm

I like the fact that bubbles feature a way to anchor the end point, move the rectangle with the text in it, and resize based on the text in the bubble (especially if translations are needed or smaller sizes). However, I don't like the way the bubbles look. I just want to use a single arrow with head where it anchors on the image, which connects a line to the middle of a simple white background text box with no outline.

In short, how do I get a line to connect to a text box, so I can move the text box anywhere without having to connect the arrow to the middle of the text? I want a simple way to keep those text boxes connected to any arrow or annotation I draw while replicating the attached type of callout style that I currently do in In Design.

The only answer I can think of for that is this link to the MadCap feature request page...
