I have 366 images that I took using not Capture, but Snagit. I'd like to use Capture to set the print to 300/400 dpi and the online to 72/96 dpi, for all of my images at once, if possible. My relevant questions:
1. Can this be done if I didn't take the screenshots with Capture in the first place?
2. Can this be done in bulk?
3. What's the fastest way to do this?
4. Any recommendations on dpi settings for both online and print?
5. Any other tips related to this process...e.g. color settings, etc.?

Re: Setting 100's of images print/online formatting
Hi nick777,
In order to set the images to the dpi values that you want, you will have to open each of the images up in Capture, and set the DPI's in Capture. When you save the image in Capture, Capture will create a .props file for that image that keeps all the settings for that image. (DPI info will be included in the .props file also.) So, basically you will have to open the images in Capture and set the DPI setting in there. Once the images have all been saved by Capture, you will then be able to do a bulk change by editing all the .props files.
First of all, make sure all the images are in the Flare project. Then, you can just open and edit the images using Capture. That's it.
The online DPI setting is usually 96. The Print DPI setting is based on how large your images are. Go ahead and try 200, and then output your Flare project to Word or FrameMaker to see if the image sizing is alright. If it turns up too small, decrease the print DPI. If it turns up too big, increase the print DPI.
Thanks.

I think we should have a batch processing feature for this. It seems like logical thing to do for super large projects.
If you submit your bug feedback request here, the more likely it'll get fixed or included in a future release

You can use a profile in Capture and it apply it to all the photo's with a batch job
This should work for you
