Cartoon and comics in tech comm Captures

Postby forfear on Tue Sep 02, 2008 6:00 pm

Cartoons (as per any illustration style) or comics refers to a hand drawn style in technical communication. Its a discussion that pops up from time to time every few times in a year on the tech writer forums, lists even in the brilliant http://www.boxesandarrows.com

One of the interesting things about Capture is that you have Bubble type text callouts. In a way i think this fits the comic theme rather well for tech comms.
If you submit your bug feedback request here, the more likely it'll get fixed or included in a future release

I downloaded an areil photograph of my area and used the callouts to provide directions to get to my place. You know, 'turn left here by the big gum tree' sort of thing.

Back when I had more time on my hands, of course

Rural? I'm 20 minutes from the 5th largest city. Just because I don't have mains water, piped gas, and up 'til year needed a satelite for high speed internet access doesn't mean we're slow.

Then again...
