Really? I have v2, but haven't received anything that implies that this is true. It doesn't show up in the "Check for Updates" either.

I'm using Capture 3; it certainly is available, though I don't know why you haven't seen a notice for it yet. If you aren't seeing an update when you "check for Updates", contact MadCap support. They will be able to give you the new download location.

Alternatively, you can go back to your confirmation e-mail, and click the link there, which will re-direct you to the Capture 3 download link. The same key that worked for Capture 1/2 will work for Capture 3.

I still don't get why Capture doesn't save GIFs without a dotting effect. It makes no sense to me. The dotting effect has been there since version 1. I think I've reported it as a bug with each new release, but MadCap apparently needs to know that others also think it's a bug, so please report the dotting problem officially at http://www.madcapsoftware.com/bugs/submit.aspx. Hopefully it'll be fixed in the next version.

If you submit your bug feedback request here, the more likely it'll get fixed or included in a future release
