Audio recording being cut off

When I record audio narration for frames and then play it back, the last few seconds and words are being snipped. Why is this happening? Suggestions, anyone?

Are you also recording sound for cursor movement or other objects?
Adding audio to a frame that already contains sound will create a conflict if the sounds are set to play simultaneously. To test, remove the cursor object for a frame, then click Movie - Quick-Preview Movie - This Frame & see if your audio plays.

There are several ways to address this, one of which is to record sound *between* or *around* predefined cursor (or other objects) sounds.
Another is to remove the cursor sound or to record without it.
Another is to play with audio timing.

I don't see an option for cursor sound, only for cursor movement.
