Mimic Compile Error

Post by ckirby »

Greetings.

I am unable to build HTML5 videos for new projects and for older projects that I have previously successfully compiled HTML5 projects for.

Log file, such as it is, follows:

Removing stale output and temporary files...
Removing stale output...
Removing stale temporary files...
Merging movies...
Preprocessing movie skins...
Preprocessing test...
Compiling test...
Collecting images for test...
Compressing images...
Image Compression = 6
Saving test...
Generating html5 movie...
Gathering frame audio and video data...
Compiler (Internal Error): The system cannot find the file specified
Aborted.

There error is as follows: "The system cannot find the file specified." (Compiler Internal Error)

I removed Mimic v7 and re-installed the application hoping that would correct the error. It did not.

Can anyone provide additional steps I can take to resolve the issue or provide a solution, please?

Issue resolved.

Turns out I unknowingly moved my codex for the HTML 5 whilst cleaning up a directory. Mimic had no idea how to compile.

Lesson learned.
