Mimic output to enable 3rd party editing

Post by ccardimon »

Does any of Mimic's outputs allow for editing by a colleague or third party?

Craig, what's your objective? Are you trying to send a draft of a movie out as a review and you'd like a way for a reviewer to "mark" it up? If so, then I suppose you could output it as Adobe PDF and have them mark up the PDF with sticky notes/annotations. (Or -- gasp -- print it out and mark it up longhand!) And if you give them a working copy of the movie, they can "test drive" it as they review the document.

(It's too bad Mimic doesn't support Word output, the way that Captivate does. ... Hmm, aren't there some PDF-to-Word conversion tools...)

But if you're looking for a way for someone to directly edit a generated movie, I don't think Mimic does anything specific to support that, nor do I know of which (if any) third-party editor someone could use to edit the movie.

That's basically what I'm trying to accomplish.
