Creating own project template

Post by Perrorist »

I've been working on a base project (no content) that I want to save as a template, but it seems that only files can be templated. Is there a way to do this, or do I have to copy the project each time I want to create a similar project?

Hello,

"Save Project as Template" is to be found in the project ribbon, resp. in project toolstrip. Did you try this?

Kind regards,

Thank you, Sabine and Nita. I was expecting to find it in the File->Save menu. (Flare isn't the most intuitive software I've worked with.)

Flare is super non-intuitive at first but after a while you'll begin to understand and appreciate its quirks. Now when I work in anything else, I'm trying to do it Flare's way... (It's a hard first few months though!)

It's taking me longer than expected to get to grips with it, but it certainly is a powerful program.

Think of it as an XML development environment, not a word processor

I'm gradually understanding how it all fits together. I seem to spend more time in the text editor than the XML WYSIWYG, but this is proving helpful.
