Limitations in MadCap Lingo Trial

Post by Scheller_R »

Hello,

I am currently evaluating MadCap Lingo 9.5 with the trial version.
I have two DocToHelp projects which I want to translate.
The smaler one with 12 Word-Documents in it and about 115 pages works fine on export (even if the text is scrambled).
With the bigger one, with about 28 Word-Documents and 715 pages, the export does not come to an end.
I canceld after one day it works.

Is this a bug, or are there more limitations in MadCap Lingo Trial?

Ralph

Hi Ralph Scheller,

I am not sure whether it's an issue restricted to Lingo trial version

The issue in Ralph Schellers D2H project could be reduced by both of us to issues during export of ONE worddocument.
Export of a translation of this document runs several hours, even without a D2H project or more documents.
It consists of more than 4000 segments, some are very small, due to a lot of tables in the source file. Document has about 150 pages.

Does anybody have any suggestion what to do when export of Worddocuments runs for several hours?
Does it help to test a different segmentation?
Any known bugs what contents might cause the problem?

Taskmanager shows that Lingo is active all the time, no other applications are running.
