Multi-lingual project with multi-updates; using Flare/Lingo

Hello,

I am brand new to both Flare and Lingo and I am trying to figure out how I would use these two tools, to manage our help content. We want to create and output both EN and FR help output (HTML). Our process is as follows:

1. Author in English, in Flare. Build target to English HTML output.
2. Import project in Lingo, translate to French.

The rest of the steps are a guess...

3. Export to a French Flare project, create target, output HTML French output.

What happens when we add articles/topics to our existing English project, which we then need to translate and get added to our French project? I figured out how to update the Lingo project, to pull in the new article/topic and translate it, but what I cannot figure out is how I would export the Lingo project to the existing French project, in order to publish an updated French output? I am hoping I don't need to create a new French Flare project every time... ?

Thanks in advance!
Adriana

It's been a while since I've worked with Lingo, but I believe you would have to export a new Flare project from Lingo each time.

Adriana,

Kellie is correct. For every update after translation you will have to run a new export from Lingo and them compile in Flare.

Thanks for responding. This sounds like a bit of a nightmare process. Does anyone have suggestions for a better process?

TIA,
Adriana
