Fields When Importing Word Documents

When importing a Word document directly into Lingo, it breaks at any field, such as a page number field. In order to use the translations I have used in other documents, I need to see those field tags in Lingo. Has anyone found a workaround for this?

You don't say whether you've set up a file filter for importing Word documents - this ought to be the way to deal with it.

No, I did not use a file filter. I have not used filters, except occasionally for an excel file. How could I use it in this case?
