UI accurately in MT

I have individual strings in translation memory as individual segments. We're translating User Manuals and need the UI terms accurately reflected in the Machine Translation of the manuals. Without a Glossary, how do we do this? Term base is too manual. I tried breaking the bolded UI terms out using segment rules, but that doesn't work because sentence structure changes from language to language.

Any way to do this?

I would recommend using variables for the UI terms in the source language. Then replace the variable set in your translated projects with variable sets in the corresponding languages. Note that the name of the FLVAR file, and the variable names, need to be the same in all languages.
