Multiple Localizations

Post by smur »

Hi all,

Our product is localized for Canada and the US. Therefore, I have topics that apply to both locales, and others that apply only to one locale and not the other. In preparing a project for US Spanish translation, should I remove the topics from the Lingo project that are tagged as "Canadian" so that they are not translated?

Does Lingo have any way of automatically excluding files from translation projects based on a topic condition?

Thanks,

Nope. definitely none. none that I know of...

But you could make a note as instructions to your localizer to not translate items marked with a specific condition. Or you could name your conditions such that 'This is for Spanish Edition Only'
If you submit your bug feedback request here, the more likely it'll get fixed or included in a future release
