Importing creates unneeded TOC file

Post by HiyaKath »

Is there a way to disable the creation of a TOC file for each import? I have some projects with several sources of imported files and now I have have a half-dozen TOC files that I will never use.

Even if I can't disable it, I'd be interested in hearing if other people use these generated TOCs in some way. I'm struggling to understand this feature.

Thanks,
Kath

Are you importing Word files? I don't think you can disable the creation of the TOC, but I usually delete them as soon as I have run a Word import - I don't use the generated ones either.

I'm importing html files that come from my engineering team. Unfortunately I have to reimport with every build to be sure I have the latest material.

It's not that big a deal I guess to have a bunch of unused files. I just wish I understood the use-case for that feature, especially since it looks like something you can't turn off.

Thanks,
Kath
