Why no link icons in imported DITA files?

Post by JeromeR »

Hi,

I've made a pilot project that imports DITA source files into Flare. The plan is to edit the content in DITA, so I've set the import to "link" the files.

The Help in Flare says:
Note: A link icon displays on tabs in the XML Editor next to file names that are imported from and linked to another file or Flare project. However, if you are also using the built-in source control technology, the source control icons have a higher precedence and will therefore be displayed instead.
The link icon would be a helpful cue to identify unlinked files. I'm not using source control, so the icons should be appearing. In the past, I've used source control with Flare, so I know where to look for these icons in the Content Explorer. There are no status icons of any sort—not for source control and not for import-linking. Yet my topics are definitely import-linked.

My question:
  • How do I make the icons appear? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for answers.
