Mapping variable and conditional text files

Post by BenS »

Hi everyone, need your input here.
I have several Flare projects that have a few common files. These common files are in a Global project with all the Auto Re-import settings set to go. All for one, one for all.
So far so good.
My question is, can I do the same thing with variable files? Conditional text files? Will the variables and conditional text work properly when using an imported and synchronized file? I'm afraid to replace the existing files (separate copies in each project) before I check...
Thanks

Yes, it will work.

However, I would check all your projects, and make sure that all their variable files and condition tag files are the same.

For variables, someone might have changed the default text for a variable in the variable file. So if you're using a common variable file, then they'll have to change the variable text in the target, instead of changing it in the variable file.
