We're working on migrating MS Word docs to Flare 2017 r3. In importing the Word source, the resulting content files are broken down into very small html files, rather than the full topics. For instance, Topic 1 has five paragraphs of content in the Word file. When imported into Flare, all five paragraphs in Topic 1 have been converted to individual html files. We have tried to clean up all styles and so on so that the source is as "tidy" as possible pre-import. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Importing MS Word doc into Flare
Hi Jonny,
new topics are created by Flare for different reasons, they need to be controlled by the user:
1. Page breaks in Word document
Flare starts a new topic whenever it finds a page break;
2. The New Topic Styles Dialog of Import wizard
Here you specify which style in Word documents will make Flare create a new topic;
3. the Options Dialog
It gives a maximum count for characters of a topic. This may split long topics.
