import from Framemaker: generation of TOC fails

Post by deining »

HI,

using the German version of Framemaker 8.0p277 and Flare 3.1, I can sucessfully import framemaker documents into Flare.
However, I'm running into problems while trying to import a .fm file containing a TOC (e.g. of a book). Each line of the .fm TOC document has a marker of type hypertext at its beginning, the marker text looks like openObjectId mydocname.fm:2 998440.
While importing or reimporting the file, I'm getting the following error message for each of the marker defined in my .fm-toc file:
In hypertext marker (type 'openObjectId'): Missing link to file 'mycontenfile.fm')
.

Any hint how to overcome that problem is highly appreciated.

TIA
Andreas

Do you see any broken links in your output? I get similar messages whenever I import Frame docs into Flare. Seems to me that Madcap support told me that I could ignore those messages as long as my links worked okay in my output, which they seem to do.

I think that problem will be taken care of in Flare 4.
