Auto numbering my figure caption style; how to reset at chap

Auto numbering my figure caption style; how to reset at chapter level, so that in Chapter 1 it goes "Figure 1-1, Figure 1-2" and where chapter 2 goes "Figure 2-1, Figure 2-2"

Right now the Figure caption just numbers sequentially no matter what chapter, Figure 1-15, etc. How do I reset "n" when a new chapter starts?

I've assumed that you've used {chapnum} in your auto-number for your figure titles.

In your TOC, for the first chapter in your book, set its TOC properties to have the chapter number set to "1". Then, for each subsequent chapter, its TOC properties should the chapter number set to "increment".
