Disabling/hiding GENERIC styles doesn't work

Morning all.

I have a global stylesheet that is imported into all my projects, that includes a good few generic styles. As expected, these appear at the top of the Styles window.

For a couple of projects I'm having to go through and format loads of content (don't ask - the source material I was given is 161 pages of Word without a single style!!!) and they don't need any of the generic styles, so I tried adding "mc-hidden: hidden;" in the medium for those generic styles, as per the help, but that didn't work. I also tried to disable them as described, using Options in the local tab of the stylesheet editor, but the generic styles aren't even shown in that option.

Can anyone else successfully disable or hide generic styles, or is this a bug?

This is a confirmed bug. I submitted a report to MadCap a couple of months ago and they reproduced it. Please submit a bug report, because I'd love to see this fixed!
