How to adjust the header sizing on Top Nav?

Post by RSRFL »

This feels like the easiest ask in the world, yet despite going through every skin setting, every CSS file, every master page, every proxy, and inspecting the page in the browser, I can't for the life of me make the simple change of the header dimensions.

I've attached what I'm currently dealing with. The blue rectangle represents the current size of my logo. I'd love to widen the area where the logo and top nav links go (so that they're not stacked) as well as make the overall area shorter in height. Are they being dictated by columns or padding? Where are these styles/settings being held hostage?

Thanks.

In the skin, you have to check a few places, and the combinations could be messing you around.
Look in the skin under Styles tab:
- Main section you can set the maximum width - the default is smallish and I usually make this bigger.
- Header section - Header also has a size setting and padding.
- The Menu setting can be affected by the padding value.
