Is it possible to replace the text in the Style Editor preview with a better, longer string?
Can we change the preview, "This is MadCap Software?"

AFAIK, Flare does not offer functionality for changing the canned preview text.
Totally untested idea... That phrase might be buried deep in some file somewhere among the folders where Flare is installed. If it’s in a plain old XML file, perhaps you could edit it with an editor.*
