Hi everyone,
First, a few parameters:
Using Flare 2017 r3 on Windows 10
Output = PDF (always, when the glossary is included as a separate file)
I've finally finished converting a FM book to Flare, and the last thing I've checked is the glossary.
In the original PDF (from FrameMaker), the Glossary didn't even cover 2 sides of A4. In the PDF generated from Flare, it's more than double that... because it seems to be done as a description/definition list. I can't see the code behind the proxy, but the output is similar to what I'd see if I did:
<dl>
<dt>Term1</dt>
<dd>Definition1</dd>
<dt>Term2</dt>
<dd>Definition2</dd>
</dl>
See "Output.png" (below) for a visual representation.
Ideally, I want something looking more like the lower part of Output.png, but if I'm right about the way the glossary is being built, that may not be possible. It's just a LOT of empty space, as although my definitions are slightly longer than the ones in my examples, they very rarely fill a line!
Any ideas, or is this just a restiction of HTML/Flare?
Thanks in advance,
Alison
