eeew, its a CSS line-height error!

Post by LarryCarey »

Yes, I am suddenly receiving a new error (displayed in the Messages window) whenever I try to apply any Style to any text in the XML Editor. That is, if I select a paragraph in the Editor, the Style window reflects the style as expected. Then, if I try to open the Style drop-down menu to select a different style, the Style menu displays "(text)":

and all of the Style options in the drop-down menu are disabled:

The message I'm getting is:
"

Code: Select all

CSS: C:\Arcimoto\Battery Module Assembly Instructions\Battery Module Assembly Instructions\Content\A_Introduction Topics\Overview.htm: CSS: Invalid line-height: eeew
"
what is "eeew"? If I knew maybe I could find the issue in my CSS.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

It's awkward, but I'll answer myself since I just fixed the issue:
I opened the CSS in Notepad and located the mysterious "eeew", where a line-height value should have been.
How it got there, I don't know.
When I replaced it with a real line-height value (16px), everything returned to normal.
Bizarre!

Perhaps this post will help someone else down the line.

Do you edit your CSS in a text editor? I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if you had it open, and had maybe a Skype conversation with someone open, and mistakenly typed "eeew" in your stylesheet rather than your conversation. You wouldn't be the first to do something like that and I'm sure you won't be the last (not that I'm speaking from personal experience of having done just the same, of course...! ;-) )
