Adding a second MiniTocProxy style

Post by Sonyy »

Hello! I'm hoping someone can help with this

I'm new to flare and CSS, and I have a beginner question related to styles.

So I need two styles for the mini toc proxy. I currently have it set up to look like below, where the styling is coming from the p.MiniToc styles
H1....................1
H2.............3
H3..........4

Now I need another style that would show each sub page as a hyperlink (blue, underlined)

I've created another Madcap|minTocProxy class and tried to format it there, but it looks like the changes aren't applying. I then tried making different p.MiniToc styles, but I don’t know how to associate those styles with my new Madcap|minTocProxy style class

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Why do you need this?

If it is to use in a different output, then you have a very simple solution - mediums.

I'm assuming the original format you mentioned is used for a printed output such as a PDF. If this is the case, in your stylesheet you should include those bits of styling in the "Print" medium (or whatever you want to call a separate medium for use with PDFs).
You can then have your "Default" medium containing the styling you require for online outputs.

That way you don't need to have different styles in your content. Instead you choose a different medium depending on the targets.

Here's the help for release 2020, which should contain most of what you need to know. If that doesn't do the trick, do ask again.
