Heading Side Menu

I'm using the Side Menu skin in my HTML5 help output and can't figure out how to reduce the number of levels displayed in the output. I want to reduce the number of levels from 4 (the default) to 2 or 3. There may be an existing thread on this, but I didn't see it in my search. Thanks in advance!

I don't have a completely satisfying solution, nevertheless my suggestions might help you:
For "removing" the third level look in you sidenav skin and select the second level. Setting its font size to 0, makes it unvisible.
See at the bottom of the attached picture. All other changes you see are irrelevant.
