I'm trying to understand the concept of style inheritance. I realize that a class that I create inherits from its parent style tag. But if I try to delete a class that I've made (e.g., td.bottom_align), I get the message "The style td.bottom_align cannot be removed since it is inherited and not defined in this stylesheet."
But I only have one stylesheet, so... what is this message trying to tell me?
Thanks to anyone who can explain this to me.
Bonnie?

Hi Bonnie,
Is there anywhere you've applied the style? If so try removing all references from it.
I'd also open my table style sheet if I were you - that looks like a tablestyle and Flare uses a seperate stylesheet foe some of the table stuff.

Thanks for the suggestion. I couldn't find anyplace where I was using the style although I may have overlooked it.Is there anywhere you've applied the style? If so try removing all references from it.
I was able to delete the unwanted class by opening the .css file in the Internal Text Editor and deleting it there.
