I am connected to our SharePoint server and can view my topic files in the SharePoint Explorer. I can check files in/out but the open command is grayed-out. I am not able to open any topic files using any of the methods in the Contributor 8 documentation. I am able to open the files from the SharePoint Explorer window using Flare 10.

What version of Sharepoint? I don't believe Flare plays nicely with Office 365.

From MadCap Technical Support: I have submitted a bug report to the developers regarding the issue described. If a fix is released for this issue, we'll send you an e-mail mentioning this bug report number.
The current workaround would be to send the Contributor user a review package from Flare. The review package can be saved in a shared location for the Contributor user to access it.
