Can XEdit read an active directory entry for the reviewer and insert their name (initials) and today's date beside any edits in an XEdit doc sent out for review (in edit mode, i.e., not for annotation but to be changed.)?

Not that I am aware of. But you might want to check with the developers to be sure.
