Pending Check-Ins Issue with VSS and Flare V5

Hey all,

I'm having some issues with Flare V5 and VSS. Basically, I work in the help system and check out files with no problem. When I go to the Pending Check-ins menu, it displays nothing. All of my files are still checked out, but it's not displaying anything at all. I click refresh and still nothing.

Any ideas?

I would also like to point out my VSS version is 8.0.50727.901

I have done that several times and all to no avail. Do I need administrator permissions on my box to use this feature?

Don't know what (system) setting could cause that ... maybe you post a bug report?

... I never had that sort of problem with MS VSS 2005 with Flare Versions 3 - 6.

I may post a bug report on this, but it didn't happen until my organization started using Group Policy settings to control administrator access to the local workstations.

Flare uses the .NET technology for their application windows. Could be a scecurity setting - just like that issue where you don't get to see the contents of topics inside a HTML Help that is not on your local computer ...

Maybe your admins can help you retrieve the necessary information and display it in the .NET window, maybe they know where to look. If not: Post ab bug report, the MadCappers will know.

Sounds like time to talk to your system administrator and your VSS guru.

My guess is something in the policy is blocking access. System policies tend to be pessimistic - default is to stop you doing everything and then they grant you privileges (bit like handing out lollies at Christmas...).

Thanks for all the help everyone. I'll check with our Desktop admins about my permissions. Unfortunately, I am the VSS guru. :-)
