Source control (git) and using the CLI

Post by sdcinvan »

Tomorrow, I am beginning a project to automate document builds. This will involve:
  • 1. Pulling the latest project from git
    2. Copying the project into a Windows 2008 R2 server folder
    3. Running Madbuild CLI via a batch file to output both a HTML5 and a PDF document
    4. I haven't figured out the rest yet... but possibly saving the resulting PDF to a Google drive 'latest' type document folder using the Google Drive sync app.
Anyhow, if anyone has any tips, ideas, suggestions, comments, criticisms, etc... I would love to hear from you.

Also, I will be very happy to share all my experiences with the forum (a little bit of pay it forward - after all the help I've received).

Please let me know if this is the most appropriate place to talk about this topic.

Best regards,
Shawn

Well, at the very least, I hope my findings will be useful to others.
