page templates not syncing

Today my colleagues and I have discovered an issue that page templates are not being synced correctly with Github source control. Topic content is syncing, but when one person changes or removes a topic template, no one else sees the edit. I can confirm on the Github site that the template change is being pushed (see attached screenshot), but when I pull the topic into my project there is no change.
We use different versions of Flare (I just installed 2021 r3; my coworkers have 2020 r2 and 2021 r2) but this seems to be an issue in any direction.
Have others had this problem, and if so, what is the remedy?
