Flare freezes when updating links of moved topics (Perforce)

Hi,

My Flare DotNet Help project and all supporting files are bound to Perforce v4. Every time I attempt to move a topic in the Content Explorer, as soon as I click Update Links in the dialog box that appears, Flare freezes and I have to use the Windows Task Manager to end the program. Before binding my project to Perforce, I could move topics any time I wanted and Flare would appropriately and successfully update the links. Is this a known bug with Flare or is there a work-around?

Many thanks,
Amy

I saw the same behaviour when I tried to bind to Perforce. I gave up - sorry to not have something more useful for you. I manage all my files manually.

Thanks for posting anyway. Flare needs to fix this "bug."

Actually, I don't think it's a bug. It's FAD for now since Perforce is not one of the source control systems that Flare currently supports (at least that's what we were told). For now we are managing our files manually as well. It's not that difficult, but you do have to make sure that you shut down Flare before you try to check your project back into Perforce.
sorry not to be able to help more.
S.

Why do you have to shut down Flare before checking into Perforce?
