This Nashville client is experiencing rapid growth and seeking a talented, multi-faceted individual with professional technical writing skills. Qualified candidates must be able to write, edit, index, or revise a variety of technical user documentation such as white papers, manuals, application help systems (both on-line and printed) and API information for a wide range of uses. They will collaborate with programmers and management during all project phases to gain an understanding of the product, and ensure accuracy and completeness of technical documentation. Position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as an understanding of: programming concepts, operating systems and networking, web services, and API. Portions of the job include developing documentation to support a medical records application, so familiarity with HIPAA is essential.

• Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation for current and future applications, i.e., technical reference manuals and white papers.
• Create, edit, and maintain procedural documentation, including but not limited to department policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Create, edit, and maintain “how to” user guides, application guides and help systems.
• Write, edit, produce, and maintain on-line (internet/Web-based) documentation.
• Work with call center support staff to create, edit, and maintain training materials for field training personnel.
• Work with management and/or call center support staff to create client presentations.
• Support quality assurance efforts, assemble documentation for audits and ensure that documentation is compliant with federal regulations.
• Maintain documentation standards and keep abreast of current information by associating with professional individuals or societies or by reviewing professional publications, newsletters, e-mail, and Web sites.
• Responsible for research, competitive analysis and reporting of findings.
• Stay a student of the industry – continue to be abreast of current trends, technology, styles, etc.
• Represent Iosthe in a professional manner with all client leadership, vendors and staff.
• Complete and submit daily time reports.
• Occasional overnight travel possible.

Minimum Requirements:
• Associate's Degree in Technical Writing or a closely related field of study.
• Minimum 3 years technical writing and documentation experience with at least 1 year of HIPPA compliance documentation.
• Experience with Flare required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 2007 Suite.
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite 4.
• MUST be able to qualify for a government security clearance. Background checks will be performed.
• Past programming experience a PLUS; PHP preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating the ability to present material in a clear and concise manner to senior officials.
• Adaptive learning skills.
• Experienced in problem analysis and problem solving.
• Ability to plan and organize.
• Possess a customer service orientation.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Ability to switch quickly and comfortably between projects as determined by client need, work effectively with other team members, and maintain positive morale and a sense of teamwork.
