Responsibilities:
Including, but not limited to:
- Writing and delivering concise, easy-to-understand documentation, based on existing standards, style sheets, layouts, and deliverables, and using MadCap Flare
- Multimedia content development using a variety of desktop publishing and authoring tools for multiple audiences (MadCap Flare 4.1, Snagit 8.2, Adobe Dreamweaver CS3, etc.)
- Single-sourcing and content reuse for print-based and online output (compiled help and browser-based help)
- Project document routing, approvals, document change control, weekly project status report in a timely manner
- Interviewing subject matter experts, attending project/product rollout meetings, and information gathering
- Recommending and implementing improvements to existing content
- Professional level writing, editing, and interviewing skills acquired through a minimum of 3 years of technical writing experience
- Focused on quality and attention to detail, with a strong focus on minimalist style and Simplified English, as judged by managers, SMEs, and customers
- Ability to follow established standards and develop a wide range of content, including clear, concise and consistent language, task instructions, screen captures, etc.
- Demonstrated proficiency in HTML, XML and CSS; also familiarity with multimedia tools, such as MadCap Flare 4.1 and Snagit 8
- Able to work collaboratively, in a team environment, and independently
- Ability to accept and learn from feedback, critical and otherwise
- Balancing multiple projects at a time, organize priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven development environment
- Single-sourcing experience (using MadCap Flare or related help-authoring tool)
- Experience using a configuration management tool to store and retrieve document versions
- Financial knowledge
- Four year college degree (preferred)
