Context-Sensitive Cross-References: page number issue

Post by robync »

Working in Flare 12.

I have created a cross-reference format, MadCap.xref.TopicTitle. The definition is:
{b}{h1}{/b} {pageref}

According to their documentation, Flare should automatically remove the pageref when HTML output is generated. Indeed, it does so for their default style MadCap.xref. But it doesn't for the style I created.

Fwiw, the default style definition is
"{para}" {pageref}

Are there any "gotchas" or places I should be looking for something amiss?

Thanks!

Hi Robyn

You just need to adjust the xref format for each medium that you use. If you use {b}{h1}{/b} {pageref} for your print medium, you can use {b}{h1}{/b} for your HTML medium. The automatic stuff happens after that :)

I thought I was doing that, but apparently, I wasn't.

Thank you for your help!
